Outline VS Hairstrokes

Outline VS Hairstrokes

These methods are both fantastic ways to enhance the natural shape of the brows and create a beautiful, defined look. It is important to know both methods as every client will need different approach.

The outline technique involves creating a precise border around the eyebrows, outlining their natural shape. This method helps to give the brows a more defined and polished appearance. To begin, carefully observe your client's natural brow shape and determine where the outline should be placed. Remember, the goal is to enhance their natural features, so it's important not to stray too far from their existing shape.

Hairstrokes are individual, hair-like strokes that are tattooed onto the skin using a microblading or nanoblading technique. These strokes mimic the appearance of real eyebrow hairs and help to fill in any sparse areas while maintaining a natural look. Vary the length and thickness of the strokes to mimic the natural pattern of the brows and avoid a uniform or artificial appearance. The combination of the outline and hairstroke techniques will result in beautifully shaped eyebrows that frame the face perfectly!

I personally prefer to pre draw hairstrokes to show clients what the brows will look like. This technique allows me to create a visual representation of the end result, giving clients a better understanding of how their brows will appear after the procedure. By drawing the hairstrokes beforehand, I am able to accurately demonstrate the shape, thickness, and symmetry of the brows. This helps to manage client expectations and ensures that we are on the same page regarding the desired outcome.

Furthermore, pre drawing hairstrokes makes it easier to fix any mistakes or make adjustments during the microblading process. If a client wants a slight modification to the shape or thickness of the brows, I can simply alter the pre-drawn hairstrokes rather than having to remove the entire outline. This saves time and effort for both the client and myself, resulting in a more efficient and satisfactory experience.
